Alappuzha, Monday, December 14, 2009: One person was killed and another seriously injured when two lorries loaded with vegetables and another lorry loaded with jute fiber bought for Palm fiber company collided with each other near National Highway.

The mishap occurred at 4:30 am today morning. According to those injured the vegetable loaded lorry rammed behind another lorry parked along roadside, killing its cleaner Noushad on the spot. Driver Shanavaz was seriously injured.

Police and fire rescue services struggled hard for one hour to separate both vehicles and recovered dead body of Noushad which was trapped inside.
