Jaipur, Saturday 08 May 2010: Five persons, including two women, were killed and six others injured when a jeep in which they were travelling collided head-on with a truck in Rajasthan’s Sikar district today, police said.
The victims were on their way to a nearby village Arania from Chomu town to attend a mourning ceremony when the mishap occurred near Reengus town.
Three persons identified as Suna Ram, Hanuman and Kesri killed on spot while Ram Pal and Anu Devi succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
Condition of injured undergoing treatment at SMS hospital in Jaipur is stated to be stable, they said.
