Kozhikode, Tuesday, 11 May 2010: Congress leader Sudheeran has sent a letter to Chief Minister V.S Achuthanandan seeking Judicial probe into the Kinaloor scuffle. He asked the CM that the brutality of police shouldn’t be allowed.
He alleged the Industrial Minister and the District administration that they are giving lame excuses for the outrage at Kinaloor.

Tension prevailed at Kinaloor, here following a clash, when the natives tried to obstruct the officials who came for survey for KSIDC (Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation) park road development on May 6th . Many were injured including policemen, in the protest, which witnessed the participation of around 200 people including women and children. However, the clash began when the police tried to remove the protestors by arresting.
The violent mob protested against the police by pelting stones, and pouring cow dung and using broomsticks. They even went to the extend of destroying vehicles. The incited police lathi charged and used grenade to disperse the crowd.
Many natives and policemen including Thamarassery DySp Kuberan Namboothiri were injured in the scuffle.
