Kottayam, Saturday, January 15, 2011: Kerala State School Kalolsavam scheduled to begin on January 17 has been postponed in connection with the tragedy that struck Sabarimala Pilgrims at Pullumedu in Idukki. The authorities informed that the new date for the State school Kalolsavam has been fixed from Jan 18 to 23rd.

Minister for Education and Culture MA Baby said that the festival has been postponed as three day mourning has been declared in the State.

As the Centre declared Pulmedu tragedy as a national tragedy, it was unfair to conduct youth festival now, the Minister said.
