Kochi, Thursday 02 September 2010: The special NIA court on Thursday declared Shammi Firoz, seventh accused in Kozhikode twin blast case as an approver. The NIA did not oppose the plea filed by Shammy Firoz, when the plea came up for hearing today. Shammi informed the court that he was not directly involved in the crime.
Shammy was employed in Dubai after the blasts. He made his way back to Kerala, after confessing his part in the crime to the NIA. Shammy had provided vital information including the role of LeT South Indian commander Thadiyantavida Nazir.
