Kozhikode: Minister opens Civil service academy centre   Kozhikode:

Kozhikode, Friday 25 February 2011: inaugurated a regional centre of the Kerala State Civil Service Academy here. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the centre had been set up to ensure regional equality.

“A lot of students from the northern districts pursue their studies at the centre in Thiruvananthapuram. The regional centre will be a boon for them,” he said.

The Minister said the centre’s infrastructure would be on par with similar centres in Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi or Chennai. Besides, it would have satellite connectivity with Delhi, and, by means of which scholars in Delhi could interact with the students here. Rs.1crore had been sanctioned to develop the centre, he said.

Baby said the centre would encourage local students to pursue their studies in the and the Indian Institutes of Technology.
