Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday, August 29, 2010: JSS leader K.R Gowri Amma while replying to the CPI State Secretary Veliyam Bhragavan’s invitation to the CPI party, told that she would remain firm with UDF. Gowri Amma affirmed that she felt Veliyam’s statement by inviting her to the CPI, as a joke.

Talking to reporters in the district, she said that if she had wanted to go back to the CPI, she would’ve gone when T V Thomas was alive. After hearing Veliyam’s statement, one may imagine that I was standing before the party office with an application to join the party. I’ve taken the statement as a joke only. I’ve never thought of going back to the LDF. She expressed her gratitude for saying they would welcome me to the party.

CPI state secretary, Veliyam Barghavan had today informed that the JSS leader, KR Gowri could come to the CPI party if she wanted. Speaking to media here, Barghavan added that CPI is not for inviting her to the party but made it clear that Gowri can walk in any time to the party office.

Veliyam added that KR Gowri is welcome at anytime and it is for her to decide. We are not for granting an invitation for her and do not possess a view that her inclusion is a must. It is all for her to decide”, said Bharghavan.
