Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday 31 Monday 2010: Blaming the LDF government for the total break down of law and order in the state, Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy opined that the government badly lacks will power.

He urged CPM leadership to lend a free hand for the police to ensure law & order in the state. Opposition Leader criticized Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan for blaming the court in respect to the verdict on custodial death of Sampath.
Regarding NH expansion, Chandy targeted the government for delaying the process in the name of toll collection. “ The opposition would clarify stand after government comes out clear in this regard” - said the Opposition Leader.
Commenting on KC (M) – KC (J) merger, Chandy opined that all political decisions should have the common man in mind and should be able to convince them. He declined to comment on the re-entry of K Muraleedharan to Congress saying that the matter is before the high command.
