Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, March 18, 2010: Final approval for the devaswom amendment act was given by the LDF meet held here today. The CPI was against increasing the number of members as the bill envisages raising the number of members of the devaswoms to seven from the existing three. But the CPM was not ready to accept it.

The CPI directed that the complaint raised by NSS should be discussed and solved with them. The bill will be presented in the assembly on Monday.
