Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, September 24, 2009: Inaugurating the UDF dharna before Secretariat complex, opposition leader Oommen Chandy said, the LDF government is a big joke and after going through its review report one can realise that.

Oommen Chandy said, the Left government has hiked bus charge, water tariff and is contemplating to hike house tariff as well this act is condemnable and the UDF will not support this move, if a new house tariff is put into effect the UDF will not implement this in municipalities and panchayats where it is in power.

Oommen Chandy said, public should get justice and UDF will strive hard so that justice s given to common man. He also alleged that, the government is trying to add one more ward in each local self-governing institution by enacting a new law and the help of this new legislation it is trying to divide ward which is otherwise conducted in every ten years base on the census but the government is trying to topple this. The opposition will staunchly oppose this.

Oommen Chandy was inaugurating the dharna organized by UDF against the government’s lethargic attitude to implement projects initiated by center.
