Thiruvananthapuram, Monday, December 21, 2009: Accusing the Left Democratic Front government of trying to escape from the responsibility of price rise by placing all blames on UPA government, leader of opposition Oommen Chandy said, the government is shying away from calling an all party meet to discuss the issue because the LDF government fears that, the meet would expose them.

Inaugurating the Secretariat dharna Oommen Chandy said, the state government is doing nothing to combat the price rise. Food commodities in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are much cheaper, what has the government to say regarding this, Oommen Chandy asked.

Laying blame on somebody and escaping from responsibility is a new tactic adopted by Left government.

For terrorism the government is blaming the former UDF government and for price rise it is accusing the UPA government it has become a sort of policy of the LDF government.

The UDF held state wide dharna at all district headquarters. At Ernakulam the dharna at collectorate was inaugurated by KPCC chief Ramesh Chennthala.
