Thiruvananthapuram, Tuesday, September 07, 2010: KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala today demanded the resignation of State Excise and Labour minister P.K Gurudasan, in connection with the hooch tragedy in Vandoor and Kuttippuram. Chennithala affirmed had earlier urged for a judicial probe in to the matter.
State Chief Minister V.S Achuthanandan told that the State government would provide Rs one lakh solatium for the relatives of the hooch tragedy victims. V.S affirmed that a judicial probe would be started in connection with this issue.
CM added that the State government would bear all the hospital expenses of the people who were admitted following the hooch tragedy in Vandoor and Kuttippuram.

Excise minister P.K Gurudasan had earlier told that instructions had been given for a detailed probe into the matter.Minister affirmed that he had also ordered for the submission of a detailed investigation report regarding the same. If any evidences that confirm a liquor tragedy were received the case would be registered on murder charges, said Gurudasan.
Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan who visited the hospital had informed that a high level probe would be conducted into the hooch tragedy. KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala today demanded that a judicial probe must be conducted in to the illicit liquor tragedy near Kuttippuram in Malappuram district yesterday.
