Kochi, Monday, October 04, 2010: State Finance Minister Thomas Isaac today told that the AICC spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi must express the Congress party’s stand in the lottery issue. Issac affirmed that Singhvi’s appearance in the High Court for the Megha agency has exposed the hollowness of the United Democratic Front propaganda against the State government on the lottery issue.

Talking at the inaugural press meet of Thrithalam, a series of meet-the-press organized by the Ernakulam Press Club in connection with the upcoming local body elections, Isaac said that Singhvi had taken a position completely contrary to the stand taken by the UDF.

“We have been saying all along that only the Central government has the power to act against the conduct of lotteries. Singhvi has reiterated this while the UDF had been saying that the State government has the powers and is not using it,” he said.
