Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday 02 May 2010: The state government has expressed their willingness to solve the film crisis following the decision of producers and distributors halting the production and fresh releases of Malayalam films in the state.
Cultural Affairs Minister M A Baby will hold talks with various film organizations and try to solve the issue. If the strike continues, then the state would become a haven for other regional films.
Meantime, Vijay’s film Sura and bollywood film Houseful was released in the state violating the ban. But as some theatre owners decided to withdrew from the release, Sura was released only in 60 theatres.
