Palakkad, Friday, April 01, 2011: Malampuzha Assembly constituency in the district, where Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan is seeking mandate for third time in a row, is having the highest number of electorates of 1, 80,267 in the district.
Female voters outnumber male voters in the constituency. There are 92,335 female electorates as against the 87,932 male voters.
Tarur (reserved for SC) where Electricity Minister A.K. Balan is contesting has the lowest number of 1, 48,716 voters. There are 76,288 female voters and 72,428 male voters.
Palakkad Assembly constituency has 1, 54,101 voters of which 78,825 are female and 75,276 male.
