Malappuram, Tuesday 03 August 2010: Several persons were injured when a KSRTC bus and a private bus collided near Vattappara near Valancherry in Malappuram on Tuesday morning.

The KSRTC bus bound for Sulathan Bathery from Thrissur and a private bus `Vishwajeet’ from Kozhikode to Thrissur collided down the Vattappara hairpin near Valancherry. The injured were admitted to various hospitals. The traffic through the national highway was disrupted for an hour due to the accident.
