Kochi, Friday 19 June 2009: An alleged job racketeer who made a fortune duping gullible candidates of lakhs of rupees was arrested by the city police on Thursday. According to the police, Shibili, a native of Aroor, swindled Rs. 25,000 each from about 100 candidates offering them employment as animators outside the State.

The police say that Shibili also conned a youth hailing from Vypeen into paying Rs. 8 lakh in lieu of employment as chief coordinator in his institution. The police are on the look out for his associates.
