Thiruvananthapuram, Saturday, May 22, 2010: The Air India Express aircraft, which crashed in the Manglore Airport, has sent shock waves in north Kerala districts of Kasargode and Kannur as majority of passengers on board were believed to be from the area. Government sources said most of the passengers were believed to be Keralites. It is believed that as many as 40 Malaylees feared dead in the Air India Express crash.
One Malayalee had escaped miraculously from the Air India Express aircraft crash in Mangalore Airport today morning. Krishnan a resident of Meethal Mangad had a miraculous escape in the flight crash.
Malayalees from Kanghangad, Neeleswaram, Uduma, Thalankara, Panathoor, Kallar, Ajanoor from Kasargod district are among the victims. The suspected deceased are Mahim from Uduma, Vijeesh from Kanhangad, TTV Bhaskaran and wife Komalam from Neeleswaram, Khaleel from Thalankara, Husain son of Chammanad Muhammad from Melparampa, Sidhique son of Sulaiman from Nellikunnu, K K Abdulla near Kanhangad Iqbal School are some among them. Krishnan from Meethal Mangad rescued from the accident.
