Maudani’s charge sheet: No intimation yet, says HM  

Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday 13 June 2010: Home Minister said that the Kerala police would offer all assistance under law, if the arrest of PDP Chairman Abdul Nasar Maudani, is needed.

Speaking to press persons here, Kodiyeri stated that there won’t be any law and order problem, if Bangalore police decides to arrest Maudani. “ is yet to be officially intimated about the inclusion of Maudani in the accused list of Bangalore blast case” – Home Minister added.

The Karnataka police on Friday stated that Maudani has been included in the accused list, which they submitted before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in connection with the July 2008 serial bomb blasts in the City. The Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Alok Kumar who has the charge of the case today confirmed PDP Chairman Abdul Nazar Maudani’s name in the charge sheet submitted on Friday.

However, Soofiya Maudani had not been named an accused in the list. Six more names including Maudani’s had been included in the additional charge sheet, which comprises of five Malayalees and one native of Karnataka. At present a total of 32 names have been included in the accused list, among which 20 had been arrested.
