Bangalore, Tuesday, August 24, 2010: Karnataka Home Minister V S Acharya today informed that the twin bomb blasts at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy stadium on 17th April 2010, was with the knowledge of PDP Chairman, Abdul Nazar Maudani. Speaking to the reporters in Bangalore, V.S Acharya informed that Maudani had given statements revealing his involvement in the blast at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy stadium.
Acharya informed that the Karnataka police had earlier received the details regarding the twin blasts, which had rocked the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore on 17th April 2010, barely 45 minutes before the start of an IPL cricket match. Maudani’s interrogation had revealed crucial details regarding the blasts, said Acharya.

The twin blasts, which occurred at 3.15 pm on April 17th 2010, sparked panic in the area as the stadium was packed with nearly 30,000 spectators who had come to watch the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians.
The explosive material was hidden in a plastic bag and placed near the wall adjacent to Gate no 12 of the stadium, City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari. Four policemen and a private security guard were injured in the twin blasts
