Bangalore, Wednesday, 07 July 2010: Bangalore Fast Track Court today deferred the final hearing on PDP Chairman Abdul Nazer Maudani’s anticipatory bail application to 8th July. The Court today hinted that a conclusion on the plea would be made tomorrow or the coming days.
At the same time the prosecution had withdrawn the plea demanding the Kerala police to submit the records and documents regarding Maudani’s traveling details. This was done due to the Judge Srikanth Vattavdi’s stance that case couldn’t be deferred further.
However, the period of arrest warrant issued against the PDP leader had extended up to 20th of this month. The prosecution had already informed in Court their objection in granting anticipatory bail for Maudani. The Investigative officers’ had appeared themselves before the Court for submitting an affidavit against granting bail.
The plea for the anticipatory bail was submitted as the Bangalore Chief Metropolitan court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him.

The Bangalore Sessions Court would continue the hearing on the anticipatory bail application submitted by PDP chairman Abdul Nasar Maudani in Bangalore serial blast cases, on Tuesday. Meanwhile the prosecution had informed the court their objection on granting anticipatory bail to Maudani.
The plea for the anticipatory bail was submitted as the Bangalore Chief Metropolitan court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him. In the charge sheet submitted by Karnataka police, Maudani has been charged with treason, terrorism and attempt to murder in the Bangalore serial blast case.
They alleged that Maudani was part of the planning of the blast and he also helped terrorists for Jihad. It is alleged that he has instigated others to take extremist path .He is charged under IPC sections 219, 102, and 302. Maudani was charge sheeted along with 31 others for being involved in the 2008 serial blasts in Bangalore that left a woman dead and 20 others injured.
