Bangalore, Tuesday, 06 July 2010: The warrant period issued against PDP Chairman Abdul Nazer Maudani, in connection with the Bangalore serial blast case would expire by Wednesday. The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court had issued the non- bailable warrant against Maudani for the same on June 15th.
LeT Commander Thadiyentvida Nazeer and Shafas would also be presented before the Court today. However, hearing on Maudani’s plea for anticipatory bail had been posted to 7th of this month by the Session’s Court here

The City Police on June 11 filed additional charge sheet before the first Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in connection with the July 2008 serial bomb blasts in the City. The city police on May 19, 2009 had filed charge sheet against 26 persons, including four foreign nationals, for their alleged involvement in the serial blasts.
The major break through in the case had occurred when LeT Commander Thadiyentvida Nazeer got arrested. At present Nazeer and his relative Shafas are in the custody of Karnataka police. The court would consider the case on Monday.
The Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Alok Kumar who has the charge of the case confirmed PDP Chairman Abdul Nazer Maudani’s name in the charge sheet submitted on Friday.
However, Soofiya Maudani had not been named an accused in the list. Six more names including Maudani’s had been included in the additional charge sheet, which comprises of five Malayalees and one native of Karnataka. At present a total of 32 names have been included in the accused list, among which 20 had been arrested.
As many as nine bombs went off in the City on July 25, 2008 killing one and injuring eight persons. The blasts were caused by low-intensity crude bombs triggered by timers.
