Thiruvananthapuram, Monday, November 02, 2009: Following controversies of media censorship, Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan said that the media guidelines would be implemented only after holding discussions with media representatives.
Chief Minister has decided to hold discussions following accusations that by implementing guidelines, the government was trying to control the media freedom. This led to wide protest from all parts of the society. However, the proposed media guidelines would likely hinder the flow of vital information from offices to the public.
