Thiruvananthapuram, Sunday 13 September 2009: Paul Muthoot George murder case turns out to be more interesting than a movie story. With media and politicians equally bringing up controversies, more and more dramatized events evolve.

Right from the day the scion of a leading business family was found stabbed to death in a deserted spot in Alappuzha district, the parties began trading charges, mainly over the escape of two gangsters from the murder scene, who had accompanied George that day. When the goon leaders surrendered it was time to relate them with the opposite party.

With major political parties trying to score brownie points, the case is expected to continue to reverberate in the state politics.

Now, it’s the turn of the media to start investigation. Politically biased channels propagate their views and the rivals came up with a different view. It has reached a place where the medias have started the battle outwardly.

Goon leader Omprakash’s father’s interview added more fuel to the controversies. His allegation that Omprakash was a CPM man was a shocking revelation. Party oriented channel argued that the allegations were purposely spread by the Congress. This led to more controversies.
