Kottayam, Friday, January 28, 2011: Opposition leader Oommen Chandy today demanded that Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan should personally intervene and find a remedy to the strike. He was speaking to the mediapersons in Kottayam.

He alleged that the reported statement of the Health Minister that the Finance Minister does not have the time to discuss the issues of the striking medicos is a challenge to the Public.

Chandy said that the strike was extending due to irresponsibility of the Government and added that the State should take appropriate action to end the strike as soon as possible.
