Kochi, Saturday, April 17, 2010: Milma zonal unions would meet today in Kochi for discussing the matters concerning the price hike of milk in the State. The unions are likely to demand for increasing the price to 5 rupees per litre in the meeting. The federations, who held a joint meet earlier had demanded to the government to hike the price of milk to rupees 3 per litre, 6 months ago.

The government did not take any necessary steps and completely evaded their demands and the federations agitated against this, and hence the emergency meeting had been called for. The meeting would take place in Kochi at 2 pm, the Milma Chairman Gopala Kurup, MD Sanjeev Kumar Patjoshy, Area Chairman, and other MDs would attend the meeting.
