Minister MA Baby hits back at SFI’s accusations

Kasaragod, Saturday, November 21, 2009: MA Baby, Minister for Education today slammed the SFI for their allegations regarding self-financing colleges’ issue. The Minister said, the government has achieved consensus on 99 per cent of the issues with the self financing colleges, the SFI leaders are well aware of it.

And, if they have not understood, SFI can convey their concerns and the government is ready to hold talks with federation leaders added MA Baby.

In the state committee meeting SFI had issued rude criticisms against MA Baby, it said, the Minister is protecting the self-financing college management.

During the discussion of the working committee report, the members evaluated that, the Minister had gone ahead with educational policies without consulting party of the front.

The three day SFI meet came to a conclusion yesterday.
The State committee of the SFI had earlier urged the government to implement the credit and semester system on a scientific basis at the earliest it also demanded the scientific overhaul of the syllabus, enforcement of a student feedback system, revamp of the examination calendar and steps to prevent course lags.
