New Delhi, Friday, May 20, 2011: KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala has once again expressed his stance to the Congress High Command about his decision not to join the UDF ministry. Chennithala informed this soon after the discussions between the State Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Congress president Sonia Gandhi for finalizing the Congress nominees in his cabinet.
Chennithala had earlier opted out of the race for the Chief Minister’s post which paved the way clear for Oommen Chandy. Chennithala had offered full support to Chandy as an MLA as well as the KPCC president. He maintained that he preferred to continue as KPCC president and ensure that the party functioned unitedly and extended all support to the UDF government.
