Thrissur, Friday 4 December 2009: The body of the 38-year-old policeman, who was reported missing since November 17, was recovered from the nearby Government Medical College at Mulamkunnathukavu today.

Police said the policeman Jayaprakash, attached to the Guruvayur police station, was returning home after duty on November 16 when he was hit by a speeding car. His body was later disposed of by the driver near the medical college.

Jayaprakash, a bachelor, was staying with his mother at Lalur in the city.

The driver, Vinu, has been taken into custody, police added.
