Kasargod, Thursday, March 10, 2011: The Police have on Thursday arrested Narasimha Naik (48), accused of molesting several minor girls of a government school after luring them with sweets and money.
Naik who was absconding after the incident came to light was arrested from Karnataka, police sources said. Narasimha Naik was running an illegal lottery shop near the school.

In a shocking development, it was reported that nearly 20 students belonging to the age group of 10 to 12 were allegedly sexually exploited at Kumbala in Kerala – Tamil Nadu border.
The students belong to the UP school here and were students of fifth to seventh standard. The deal was unearthed by childline – an NGO working for the welfare and protection of children. The police raided an on-line lottery centre near the school and took the owner of the centre under custody.
All the children who were sexually exploited belong to the nomad group and were studying in Kannada division. Childline activists and teachers of the school said the owner of the on-line centre used to attract children by offering them toffees and money. Teachers grew suspicious after tracing huge amount of money among some students.
The on-line lottery dweller is said to influential, having political links. Even though teachers of the school had doubts regarding the man earlier also, they refrained from complaining fearing his political links.
Childline intervened in the issue after receiving an anonymous telephone call describing the sexual exploitation. The matter was soon reported to the police, who swung into action.
