Pathanamthitta, Saturday 11 July 2009: Power generation at the Moozhiyar station of the Sabarigiri hydroelectric project will come to a halt for 20 hours from 10 p.m. Saturday. This is to facilitate the cleaning of cooling water sump pits attached to generators.

According to Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) Deputy Chief Engineer Mohammed Ali Rawther the cleaning will be completed in a time-bound manner.

He said the process was aimed at improving the efficiency of the generators.
