Thiruvananthapuram, Wednesday, 25 August 2010: A 64-year old woman and her son aged 27, have been found dead inside their residence this morning at Amba Nagar of Palkulangara, in the city. The deceased have been identified as Padmavathiyamma and her son Shivaprasad of ‘Prasadam’, here.

Hariprasad, the lady’s elder son, who was on leave, on waking up this morning, found the two lying dead in their bedroom. The police have registered the case in charge of unnatural death, amid high suspicion whether it was murder or suicide.

Shivprasad had been running a shop named ‘Smart Tailor’ at Vanchiyoor, near here. And his mother was said to be bedridden due to paralysis for 15 long years. Fingerprint officials have reached the spot.
