Kumali, Tuesday, March 02, 2010: A team of experts inspected the site where the new dam is to be built in Mullaperiyar. Authorities of Geological survey of India from Chennai and authorities of Dam design committee from Kerala inspected the site.

They examined the soil structure and tensile strength of the dam site.
