Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday 11 March 2010: The renovation of the University Stadium, at a cost of Rs.4 crore, for the 35th National Games was kicked off by Minister for Education M.A. Baby.

The work includes laying of vitrified tiles in the rooms, repair of the gallery, stadium pavilion, seats of the spectators, replacing of the waste water pipes and electrical works. Minister for Sports M. Vijayakumar, who presided over the function, said the works would be completed within six months.
