Kochi, Wednesday 30 June 2010: Nine accused including LeT operatives Thadiyantevida Nazir and Shafaz in the case related to recruitment of youths from Kerala for terror were presented before the Kochi NIA court, wearing masks.

The accused complained to the court of being forced to wear the mask. They also demanded a speedy trail, claiming to be innocent. The court secures to look into the complaint and disclosed that the present case would be settled within one year.

The court had earlier directed the Kerala police to be more careful, while dealing with accused in terror related cases. Direction was given to produce Nazir and Shafaz masked as the NIA complained of exposing them before the camera, which had badly hit the investigation process.
