New Delhi, Tuesday 8 December 2009: National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has prepared work plan for 2009-10 under which 123 projects with approximate length 12,652 km and approximate cost Rs. 1, 00,000 crores, is targeted to be awarded in 2009-10. In this work plan, 30 projects have been restructured to make them more attractive to the bidders.
This include six projects in Kerala; 4 in Andhra Pradesh; 3 each in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, and UP; and 2 in Karnataka; and 1 each in MP, Maharashtra, Goa, Uttrakhand, Haryana and Bihar. After the restructuring, 7 projects have been awarded. The awarded projects include: project on Madhya Pradesh/ Maharashtra Border – Nagpur Section on NH 7 for a length of 95 km with total project cost(TPC) of Rs.1171 crore; Kundapur- Surathkal section on NH 17 for a length of 90 km with TPC of Rs. 671 crores; Amritsar-Pathankot Section on NH 15 for a length of 102 km with TPC of Rs.705 crores ; Jaipur –Tonk - Deoli section on NH 12 for a length of 149 km and with TPC of Rs. 792 crores; Jaipur-Reengus section on NH 11 for a length of 54 km with TPC of Rs.268 crores; Kannur-Kuttipuram Section (Package-I) on NH 17 for a length of 83 km with TPC of Rs.1366 crores; and Kannur-Kuttipuram Section (Package-II) on NH 17 for a length of 82 km with TPC of Rs.1312 crores.
