Palakkad, Tuesday, August 24, 2010: A notice has been issued to Megha Distributors asking them to pay Rs 34 lakhs as fine after noticing that they haven’t paid the tax for the lotteries seized at Walayar check post yesterday. In the notice issued by the department of commerce, Megha distributors has been asked to pay the tax before 3 pm today.

The department had yesterday seized the lotteries where the drawings were scheduled to be held on August 30 and 31. In the accounts of the department, almost 30 lakh tickets were in the vehicle.
