Pathanamthitta, Thursday, April 14, 2011: Two Ayyappa devotees were killed in a road mishap that occurred near Konni in Pathanamthitta district today morning around 5 am. The dead have been identified as Shanmughan Pillai and Subhaiah, both natives of Thottukudi.

The incident occurred when the van in which the devotees were traveling lost control and overturned. Shanmughan Pillai died on the spot.
