Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday 28 January 2009: Peethambara Kurup MP, refuted charges that he kept silent in the KPCC executive meeting that decided to shut doors on K Muraleedharan. Speaking to the media here, the first time MP pointed that he had objected unhealthy comments made against K Karunakaran. Peethambara Kurup claimed that the KPCC would open its doors for Muraleedharan within three months.
He added that they would continue the liaison work for Muraleedharan without irritating or challenging others. Peethambara Kurup pointed out that the request by Karunakaran was not a challenge against anybody, but an appeal by a learned Congressman.
