Pathanamthitta, Thursday, December 03, 2009: After the high level review meeting held at Sannidhanam, speaking to media here, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Minister for Home Affairs informed that, a permanent security system would be installed at the hillock temple.

The armed police force would be in charge of this. Along with this the number of police personals stationed at Sabarimala would be increased phase by phase.

At sensitive places closed circuit cameras would be installed.

Though no specific security threat was against Lord Ayyappa temple at present, the scenario called for ensuring fool-proof security measures to protect the temple, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said.

At present, besides large contingents of state police, Rapid Action Force and armed commandos had been deployed at vital points.
