Thrissur, Tuesday, June 22, 2010: One person has died of H1N1 fever in Thrissur district today. The deceased has been identified as Subin (35 years).

Subin is a resident of Panamukku in Thrissur district. The death toll due to the spread of fever in State has increased.

Twenty-three new cases of influenza A (H1N1) infection and one death were confirmed in the State.

Ram, 42, of Punalur, who died at the Medical College Hospital here on Monday while under treatment for fever, myalgia, breathlessness and jaundice, was confirmed as H1N1 positive.

Of the new H1N1 cases confirmed, three each are from Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kasaragod, six from Thrissur, and two each from Alappuzha, Kollam, Malappuram and Kozhikode.
