Two held in Thalassery for selling fake CDs

Thalassery, Wednesday, February 24, 2010: Two persons were arrested and about 3,000 pirated CDs, DVDs, MP3, including those of newly-released Hindi and English, Tamil and Malayalam blockbusters like ‘My Name is Khan’ and ‘Avatar’, besides porn were seized from a building near New Bus Stand at Thalassery this evening.

Muhammed (37) of Peralassery and Sameer (28) of Kattampally were arrested following a tip-off, police said. The raids will continue in the coming days.

About 5,000 CDs were seized in December 2009 from Thalassery, following a similar raid, police added.
