Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday, June 09, 2011: State Water Resources Minister, PJ Joseph opined that the second phase of the Jalanidhi project would begin within 100 days. Speaking to the mediapersons here on Thursday, Minister added that the department was planning to strictly setup rain water storage tanks in all houses across the state.

The government is also planning to implement a project to supply drinking water in tetra packs instead of plastic bottles, he added. This project would be implemented in Sabarimala during the next pilgrim season.
