Kozhikode, Tuesday 04 May 2010: Dialogues within the UDF to find a solution to the controversy surrounding KC (M) & KC (J) took a positive turn today with the Congress showing willingness to relent.
IUML general secretary PK Kunhalikutty, had discussions with KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala, and Opposition leader Oommen Chandy, at Kozhikode guesthouse today. Emerging from the meeting, Oommen Chandy expressed confidence that all the problems can be solved through dialogue.
Oommen Chandy stated that UDF would stand united and all the constituents of the Front would together work towards finding a remedy for the present crisis.
The IUML leader however took a tactical stand, denying any mediator role. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Kunhalikutty pointed out that Congress is the leader of the Front and expressed hope that KPCC leadership could break the ice.
