Kochi, Thursday, 17 December 2009: High Court rejected Sufiya Maudani’s anticipatory bail plea and Sufiya is arrested today evening. The police team headed by Asst. Commissioner Sunil Jacob, landed at Sufiya’s home and arrested Sufiya.

Maudani, urged PDP activists to be patient and to cooperate with the arrest.

After the rejection of Sufiya’s plea by the High Court justice KT Sankaran,within 20 minutes, police arrested Sufiya. She was taken over to Thrikkakara,Asst.Commissioner TM Vargheese’s office,who investigate Kalamasseri bus torching case.

Police prevented the media persons from the shooting of arrest of Sufiya.

Maudani told to the media persons that, Sufiya is innocent and the witnesses in this case must be subjected to narco analysis.

The PDP activist who had gathered infront of Sufiya’s home remains calm and cool.

PDP working chairman urged the activists to be patient.

Sufiya will be produced before Aluva magistrate court.
