Kannur, Saturday 12 February 2011: Electricity Minister A. K. Balan has said that the power sector in the State will soon be made complaint-free.

Kerala has made major strides in the power sector during the tenure of the Left Democratic Front government. Balan said at a function to inaugurate the ‘janakiya power adalat’ here.

“The government could install nearly 20,000 transformers in the past four-and-a-half years,” Balan said. Areas under 60 Assembly constituencies and four districts were completely electrified, he said, adding that the State would be free from power crisis in the 25 years.

The government would strive to resolve the complaints of the power consumers through power adalats, the Minister added.
