Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday 22 October 2009: The Kerala Government Medical College Teachers’ Association has decided to go ahead with a non-cooperation strike from today to protest against the government calling off the discussion that had been proposed earlier and also because of the government’s refusal to address the issue of private practice ban.
The central executive committee of the KGMCTA, which met here on Wednesday, decided to boycott pay-ward duties and medical boards and desist from bed-side teaching in clinical departments.
In non-clinical departments, KGMCTA members will boycott seminars and teaching of post-graduate students.
