No problem in party, claims Kodiyeri

Kozhikode, Thursday 11 June 2009: , home minister denied media reports about approaching the central leadership of the party against . He was speaking to the media here.

“These are all false stories developed by the media with vested interests to create confusion among the people” said the flag bearer of the Pinarayi faction. Asked if the stand by the CM on the Governor’s altitude has created confusion, the home minister answered that there is no confusion or problem with the CM. He quickly added that “we would solve the problems among us”.

When queried if it means that there are problems, Mr Kodiyeri said “There are no problems and none has approached the central leadership with any sort of complaints”.

Earlier reports had surfaced in the media that Kodiyeri had called up Prakash Karat, general secretary and conveyed his displeasure over the public statement made by the CM, endorsing the Governor. Kodiyeri informed his unwillingness to continue under VS Achuthanandan.

All the ministers belonging to the CPI(M) except three known for their loyalty to VS Achuthanandan had offered their intention to resign, protesting against the stand by VS Achuthanandan, termed as anti-party by the official faction.
