Kozhikode, Monday 10 May 2010: Rahul Gandhi, AICC general secretary arrived here today. The young scion of Nehru family then proceeded to Kasarkode, where he will be meeting those who will be contesting the Youth Congress elections.

Gandhi would be holding such meetings at Wayanad and Kollam also with a clear-cut agenda of attracting more youth towards the youth wing of the grand old party.

Meanwhile the organizational elections of Congress in the state would start today with booth elections sue to take place in 11 districts.

Though claiming to have democratic elections, the party leadership is going ahead with the idea of consensus. The announcement of elections saw the flourishing of group politics, after a long gap, forcing the high command to intervene and apply the brakes.
