Thiruvananthapuram, Thursday 24 December 2009: Southern Railway will run special trains between Chennai Central-Mangalore, Chennai Central-Kannur and Nagercoil-Mangalore between December 23 and January 3 to clear the rush of passengers during Christmas.
The 0619 Chennai Central-Mangalore Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 8.30 p.m. on December 23 and 31 to arrive at Mangalore at 12.50 p.m. the next day, according to the railways.
In the return direction, the 0620 Mangalore-Chennai Central Special (via Podanur) will leave Mangalore at 4.20 p.m. on December 24 and January 3 to arrive at Chennai Central at 10.05 a.m. the next day. The 0617 Chennai Central-Mangalore Superfast Special will leave Chennai Central at 8.15 p.m. on December 25, 27 and 29 to arrive at Kannur at 9.45 a.m. the next day.
The 0618 Kannur-Chennai Central Special will leave Kannur at 5.45 p.m. on December 26, 28 and 30 to reach Chennai Central at 7.45 a.m. the next day. The 0623 Nagercoil-Mangalore Special will leave Nagercoil at 1.30 p.m. on December 27 and January 3 to arrive at Mangalore at 5.45 a.m. the next day.
The 0624 Mangalore-Nagercoil Special will leave Mangalore at 1.30 p.m. on December 28 and January 4 to arrive at Nagercoil at 4.40 a.m. the next day.
